Ron GuerinRon Guerin

Mr. Guerin has 35 years of combined experience in environmental consulting, industrial/medical device manufacturing and resort property environments. These diverse opportunities have provided him with a broad range of experience in the environmental, health and safety and energy sectors. Mr. Guerin has experience with permitting, stationary air emission sources (boilers and engines), AST/UST facilities, groundwater monitoring and reporting, hazardous waste facilities, wastewater and drinking water facilities, indoor air quality, energy audits, OSHA health and safety programs, process engineering, water recycling, and hybrid energy system modeling such as wind, hydro and co-generation.

Alex DriessenAlex W. Driessen

Associate

Mr. Driessen is a Chemical Engineer with ten years of industrial, ten years of government and ten years of private and public consulting experience in the production, management, and regulatory compliance of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals.

He has developed and implemented air pollution regulations, air monitoring programs, air toxics guidelines and analyses, hazardous waste and hazard communication programs. He performed liability reduction programs, environmental audits, permit application and hazardous waste disposal feasibility studies. In addition, he has worked closely with State and Federal officials on stationary and mobile source programs.

Herbert StilesHerbert R. Stiles

Project Engineer

Mr. Stiles is a Chemical Engineer with twenty six years of industry, research & development, production, process control, and management experience. He was responsible for projects involving the design and installation of manufacturing facilities for various paper coatings, adhesives, polymers (suspension and solution) and the development of polymers used in the production of copy machine toners. His process control experience includes the manufacture, application, and surface finishing of magnetic computer memory disk coatings. As a production manager of a specialty chemical and polymer manufacturing facility, he was responsible for the inventory of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals and the drafting and implementation of environmental, health, and safety programs. His responsibilities included the management of one of the largest Underground Chemical Storage facilities in the state of New Hampshire.

Since joining Calex, his responsibilities have included RCRA and SARA compliance, Title V permits, emission estimates, and air toxics testing.

Paul J Smith, Jr.

Associate

Mr. Smith has over twenty-three years of experience in the Fire Service including fire suppression, confined space-below grade rescue, residential, commercial, chemical and industrial inspections. He is a nationally registered EMT, New Hampshire Fire Academy Senior Fire Instructor, Rescue Company Officer, Safety Officer for FEMA's National Urban Search and Rescue Task Force, and Health and Safety Instructor for the New England Consortium at UMass, Lowell.
